Born in 1990s Los Angeles from the idea of two vintage enthusiasts, it is now handcrafted in Italy by leather artisans. At Blue Express, we have been selling it for years as an official reseller, and the question we get most often in-store is always the same: which one should I choose, and what size should I get? Here is our guide.
1. Choose the style: classic, slim, or detailed
- Classic studded: full-grain leather and metal studs along the entire belt. It is the brand's signature model and works with everything, from straight-leg jeans to cargo pants.
- With stars, crystals, or plates: for those who want an accessory that takes center stage. Perfect with a black T-shirt or light denim.
- Special buckles (shield, logo, elastic): more distinctive, ideal if you already have a classic one and want some variety.
Almost all HTC models are approximately 3.5 cm wide, so they fit through the belt loops of most jeans.
2. Men's or women's?
Many models are unisex: the main difference is the size. Women's versions often feature finer details or smaller buckles, but many customers choose the classic studded style worn low on the hips, over baggy jeans or a skirt.
3. How to find the right size
HTC belts are sized in centimeters, usually from 70 to 110, in 5 cm increments. The simplest method:
- Take a belt you already wear and that fits you well.
- Measure from the base of the buckle (where the leather folds) to the hole you use most often.
- That number in centimeters is your size. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one: the leather settles with use.
If you wear it low on your hips, as is often seen in women's styling, choose one size larger than you would wear at the waist.
4. How to style it
- Denim + T-shirt: the classic combination. Straight-leg or baggy jeans, a rock graphic T-shirt, and a visible studded belt.
- All black: the belt becomes the focal point of the look.
- With other HTC pieces: bracelets, necklaces, and Starlight sneakers echo the same studs and stars.
5. How to care for it
Keep it away from heat sources and prolonged moisture, occasionally wipe the studs with a soft cloth, and if the leather becomes dry, apply a light layer of neutral cream for smooth leather.
